MFA Investigation Reveals ‘Gratuitous Cruelty’ on Canadian Turkey Farm

  1. I will admit that I do not watch cruelty when I can avoid it. I will say that I would fully support a measure that made instances like these to be required viewing in every "business" that sold anything made from the bodies of these victims.

If every human knew (and could immediately see/hear) every consequence and "side-effect" of their choices and behaviors...would we as a species behave less destructively and viciously?

  2. I can't watch any more than 1/2 second fragments. My eyes fill with tears. The birds look so surprised by their treatment.... I fucking this so much. I hate that my good friend has to traumatize herself and her investigators to see what is really happening and then show the rest of the world. It's all so dark and hidden and unregulated --and then when we show it, we're called instigators who manipulate the footage. I can tell you now, not even the worst of the footage is shown.

I remember my friends going into other turkey "farms" last year and telling me about the suffering. I still remember the looks on their faces. So much suffering.

  4. There's something desperately and terrifyingly WRONG with way too many of us human animals. I've become increasing ashamed and appalled that I share specieshood with such exemplars of unspeakable behaviors. I truly feel gratitude that any member of a different species from mine sometimes treats me with affection and acceptance. We must do and be better...we must.

  5. Oh no! Yet another "isolated incident". That's what they say all the time isn't it? I don't know if they'll ever get the point that it's not only "just" in treatment but in use. It's all wrong from beginning to ugly end. The consumers who willingly buy into the lies are the ones that need the education - Sadly, most of the time it's those who already know "too much" that are the viewers. For me... It's so hard not to feel disgust by those who will not see. It's sickening. :'(
